1- Apparently this is based on a book/novel. I have not read that, so I can’t tell you how different it is from the source. I do understand from others though, that the movie might be missing a lot of things. Which is no surprise when it comes to things being translated from page to screen.

Still the movie is able to give quite the interesting perspective and gets inside the head as good as it can … of our two leads. There is a lot to unpack and it is a classic story of rich and poor … but also of love … of first love. And I reckon because it is a spanish movie, it does not hold back on the visual part of the love … of the passion it displays. In other words there is nudity, you should not have an issue with that. And there is a lot of feelings – in both extreme spectrums, love and hate so to speak.

Very well played, it may omit a bit of other smaller characters, but it has to, to concentrate on the big picture – no pun intended.

2- I didn’t read the book so I don’t know if it was the same but ares and Raquel never had any character development at the beginning yet ares seems to be in love in minutes. Raquel was already obsessed w ares so her infactuation was already there. Ares is a playboy, he would have to develop some form of relationship other then physical with Raquel before he also becomes obsessed yet you don’t see that emotional bond develop between them. Ares from the beginning just seems to fall head over heels because she’s the cliche different. Maybe their relationship was more developed in the book because it was very rushed in the movie. Other than that I thought it was a cute little cliched bad boy romance but nothing special.
